Carolyn LeVering is an Idaho native, who joined the Military Spouse Business Association/Military Spouses Coalition in 2008 to work in support of the Military Spouses Residency Relief Act. In Carolyn's "past life," as she calls it, she was centered on serving the airline/travel industry, which was greatly affected by the attacks on 9-11. After that event, she focused her passion on patriotism and volunteering with service organizations that support our armed forces and their families. Carolyn served as President of the FSG for the USS Annapolis (SSN760) during their 2002 deployment, rallying a team to insure that every single-sailor aboard received care packages/holiday gifts.
Today, she operates a commuter vanpool business in the DC area http://www.PatrioticAdVANtures.com, which allows government and military personnel to travel to work in a more efficient and economical fashion than a personal vehicle or other mass transit options. In the Navy tradition, the commuter vans are "named" in honor of distinguished Americans. Through the small business, her philanthropic work continues with over $13K being donated in honor of the volunteer drivers to their designated charities and hundreds of phone cards provided for the wounded service members recovering at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
