Small Business Incubator
More military spouses have turned to self-employment as a means to nurture their entrepreneurial spirit. Due to the unique business challenges faced by these spouses, the need for experienced guidance is ever greater. By combining your expertise in small business growth with a military spouse’s entrepreneurial spirit, you will directly influence a military spouse’s ability to successfully sustain business ownership.
MSBA seeks advisors to:
- Design portable business models through shared expertise.
- Develop targeted existing milspouse businesses for advancement to the next level.
- Provide solutions to exceptional milspouse business challenges caused by frequent relocations, in the areas of finance, marketing, production, organization, and technical issues.
Grant Writer
In an effort to maintain free access to small business development resources for entrepreneurial spouses, MSBA relies on the generosity of donations, sponsors and grants.
MSBA seeks:
- A qualified candidate to pursue, develop and submit grant opportunity applications.
- Converse with MSBA Board Members to understand MSBA’s goal/objective for a particular grant
- Maintain a running database of all grants applied for along with deadlines
Business Consultant - Legal Advisor - Lawyer/Attorney
Business law can be confusing to any business owner but military spouses must be aware of business laws in multiple states.
- Provide legal guidance to military spouse business owners regarding business entity decisions, local and state regulations, contracts and taxes.
MSBA Facebook Manager
Military spouses have long known the power of a good network. MSBA utilizes social networking as a means to promote military spouse owned businesses as well provide current business resource material for our membership.
The MSBA Facebook Manager would:

Work with the MSBA Marketing Director to discuss the current posting theme for the day.

Post to the MSBA Facebook page daily

Report to the MSBA Marketing Director and Operations Director with your questions/concerns as they arise

Able to independently search through posts of the liked MSBA Facebook pages to share relevant information on MSBA Facebook page.

Help determine which types of posts obtain the most feedback from the fans and develop a weekly post to help promote interaction.

Become familiar with fellow Military Spouse Business Alliance members Facebook Pages.

Help market/network the MSBA Facebook Page.

Ability to work with other Social Media Managers.
This position would allow for an opportunity to be a part of the MSBA Executive Committee.
MSBA Twitter Manager
Military spouses have long known the power of a good network. MSBA utilizes social networking as a means to promote military spouse owned businesses as well provide current business resource material for our membership.
The MSBA Twitter Manager would:

Work with the MSBA Marketing Director to discuss the current posting theme for the day.

Post to the MSBA Twitter account daily

Report to the MSBA Marketing Director and Operations Director with your questions/concerns as they arise

Able to independently interact with new Twitter followers and retweet posts as necessary.

Become familiar with fellow Military Spouse Business Alliance members Twitter accounts.

Help market/network the MSBA Twitter account.

Ability to work with other Social Media Managers.
This position would allow for an opportunity to be a part of the MSBA Executive Committee.
MSBA Google+ Manager
Military spouses have long known the power of a good network. MSBA utilizes social networking as a means to promote military spouse owned businesses as well provide current business resource material for our membership.
The MSBA Google+ Manager would:

Red, White & Blue Pages Facebook Manager

The Red, White & Blue Pages Facebook Manager would:

Webmaster Assistant - Joomla Guru
MSBA uses Content Management System, Joomla 2.5.16, hosted on a GoDaddy Server. Occasionally there are questions we have about how to perform a certain operation. We also have trouble locating the necessary code to make needed changes.
Those who have advanced experience with Joomla 2.5 and/or Joomla hosted on a GoDaddy Server would:

Guide the Webmaster as to where to locate necessary code to make changes.

Assist in updating and maintaining the website.

Provide input on website development that would result in a more user friendly webpage for our members.

Have a willingness to share their expertise in Joomla with the Webmaster and MSBA Board Members.
This position would allow for an opportunity to be a part of the MSBA Executive Committee.
Webmaster Assistant - Drupal Guru
MSBA uses Content Management System, Drupal 7.0, hosted on a GoDaddy Server, to run our online business directory. Occasionally there are questions we have about how to perform a certain operation. We also have trouble locating the necessary code to make needed changes.
Those who have advanced experience with Drupal 7.0 and/or Drupal hosted on a GoDaddy Server would:
